Aga Khan Museum

About This Project

About

The Aga Khan Museum celebrates Muslim culture and history from all over the world, bringing exhibitions, performance, and symposium under one iconic roof. The museum prides itself on being a cultural bridge between east and west.

Challenge

With the identity having already been developed, in the lead up to the opening and throughout the first year, the museum was looking to nurture and establish the brand with consistency across all departments.

Strategy

The brand was laid out to showcase the diverse offerings over the coming months while giving a hint as to what was to come the following year. It established new brand standards across many firsts for the museum, which included the design of their first Program Guide, their first Curriculum Guide, their first Year in Review, their first membership collateral, and exhibition collateral and signage.

Result

The Brand presentation re-enforced the new brand, bringing the many departments together in a unified presentation that expanded on their mission, and celebrated their cultural promise. The museum had a high profile successful opening and inaugural year and is now recognized as one of the major cultural attractions in Toronto.
